URI Providence Campus Urban Arts and Culture Program & The Rhode Island Alliance for Art Education present The 13th Annual Richard W. and Ronald S. Buteau Memorial PS2019 and the Gift of Art to the State of Rhode Island Exhibit May 1-31 Gallery Night Reception on May 16th at 5-9pm, Special Recognition Ceremony at 6:30pm. The mixed media exhibit features more than 350 artworks by K-12 students from public and charter schools throughout the state, and the honored selection of Westerly Public School for the Gift of Art to the State of Rhode Island - adding 9 new works to the permanent collection of more than 250 works - due to their extraordinary work in the visual and performing arts in the Westerly School System, and their efforts to integrate the arts into the curriculum across disciplines.
